Crossword Genius

Move swiftly along in pursuit (6)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

career

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

This clue could be a double definition.

'move swiftly' is the first definition.
(career can mean to race around)

'along in pursuit' is the second definition.
'career' can be an answer for 'pursuit' (I've seen this in another clue). I am not sure about the 'along in' bit.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for career that I've seen before include "Rush - occupation" , "'Occupation, profession (6)'" , "Lifetime's work" , "History of working life (6)" , "series of jobs" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
