'Much Ado About Nothing' in China? (1,5,2,1,6)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

a storm in a teacup

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'much ado about nothing' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)

'in china?' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'in' is present in the answer.
'china?' could be 'mate' (china plate is Cockney rhyming slang for mate) and 'mate' is located in the leftover letters.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for a storm in a teacup that I've seen before include "too much for a trifle" , "Much Ado about Nothing" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
