Music master (7)
I believe the answer is:
maestro
'music master' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)
'master' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
an anagram of 'master' is 'maestr' which is present in the answer.
A single letter 'o' remains which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for maestro that I've seen before include "A master of any art, like music" , "Expert in music etc" , "Outstanding performer" , "Genius possibly" , "Master of an art, or a great conductor of music" .)
