Musical number that is cold in a way (7)
I believe the answer is:
melodic
'musical' is the definition.
(I know that musical can be written as melodic)
'number that is cold in a way' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'number' could be 'm' (M is an example) and 'm' is present in the answer.
'cold' could be 'c' (eg on taps) and 'c' is found in the answer.
'way' could be 'e' (Compass direction - East) and 'e' is found within the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for melodic that I've seen before include "Pleasantly musical" , "Of music, tuneful and sweet" , "Old mice (anag.)" , "Harmonious" , "nice on the ear" .)
