Musical piece with bubbly time-keeping? (5)
I believe the answer is:
motet
'musical piece' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)
'bubbly time-keeping?' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'time' could be 't' (abbreviation) and 't' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'moet' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'with' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for motet that I've seen before include "Something to sing" , "Creating sacred piece" , "work by Tallis, for example" , "Word; fixed period" , "Short sacred choral piece" .)
