Native Alaskan beer presented without head (5)
I believe the answer is:
aleut
'native alaskan' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)
'beer presented without head' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'beer' could be 'ale' (type of beer) and 'ale' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'ut' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for aleut that I've seen before include "Islander" , "Alaskan" .)
