No space in magazine at end of play (4-4)
I believe the answer is:
full-time
'end of play' is the definition.
'full time' can be an answer for 'end' (I have seen 'End of game' mean 'full time' so perhaps 'end' could also mean 'full time'). I am not certain of the 'of play' bit.
'no space in magazine' is the wordplay.
'no space in' becomes 'full' (I can't justify this - if you can you should give a lot more credence to this answer).
'magazine' becomes 'time' (US magazine).
'full'+'time'='FULL-TIME'
'at' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
I've seen this clue in the Sydney Morning Herald.
