Noisy goings-on outside a show (6)
I believe the answer is:
reveal
'a show' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'noisy goings-on outside' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'on' could be 're' ('on' can be mean 'with reference to') and 're' is found within the answer.
The remaining letters 'veal' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for reveal that I've seen before include "'Make known, disclose (6)'" , "window, in part" , "Make disclosure" , "Expose, divulge" , "Expose, remove covering" .)
