Offering service before large-scale manufacture (4,10)
I believe the answer is:
mass production
'large-scale manufacture' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'offering service before' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'service' could be 'mass' (mass is a church service) and 'mass' is present in the answer.
The remaining letters 'production' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for mass production that I've seen before include "Henry Ford's brainchild" , "Making lots" , "Large-scale manufacture" , "making multiple copies" , "music for the services?" .)
