Older couple with evil intentions for all (7)
I believe the answer is:
despite
'for all' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'older couple with evil intentions' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'evil' could be 'spite' (spite is a kind of evil) and 'spite' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'de' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for despite that I've seen before include "Undeterred" , "Without being affected by; contempt" , "Regardless of, in defiance of" , "Notwithstanding" , "In the face" .)
