Ross

I believe the answer is:

drummer

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'the band?' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I can't see how they can define each other.

'one employed to drive' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'one' could be 'er' (I've seen this in other clues) and 'er' is found in the answer.
'drive' could be 'dr' (abbreviation used in road names) and 'dr' is present in the answer.
This may be the basis of clue (or it may be nonsense).

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for drummer that I've seen before include "eg Ringo" , "Band member" , "Timpani beater" , "One using sticks" , "Musician" .)

I've seen this clue in The Sun.
