One may do so after a trip, annually (4)
I believe the answer is:
fall
'trip annually' is the definition.
'fall' can be an answer for 'trip' (trip can mean to fall over). I am not certain of the 'annually' bit.
I cannot understand how the remainder of the clue works.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for fall that I've seen before include "Autumn in Vermont?" , "Quarrel" , "Drop - sin" , "Trip over - flag" , "Autumn; plummet" .)
