One-sided favouritism, as in bowls (4)
I believe the answer is:
bias
'one-sided favouritism' is the definition.
'bias' can be an answer for 'favouritism' (I've seen this before). I'm unsure of the 'one-sided' bit.
'as in bowls' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'as' is present in the answer.
The remaining letters 'bi' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for bias that I've seen before include "Inclination of prejudice" , "An influence against, prejudice" , "Prejudice, one-sidedness" , "(Bowls) irregular shape" , "A leaning or prejudice" .)
