Open a French type of sandwich (6)
I believe the answer is:
unwrap
'open' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'a french type of sandwich' is the wordplay.
'a french' becomes 'un' ('a' in French).
'type of sandwich' becomes 'wrap' (I can't justify this - if you can you should believe this answer much more).
'un'+'wrap'='UNWRAP'
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for unwrap that I've seen before include "peel" , "Remove the outer cover" , "Reveal" , "Open (a present)" , "Remove packaging from" .)
