Crossword Genius

Ordinary pocket bread of Baghdad (5)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

dinar

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'bread of baghdad' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I can't see how one could define the other.

'ordinary pocket' is the wordplay.
'pocket' indicates the answer is hidden within the clue (I've seen 'pockets' mean this (pocket can mean to contain)).
'DINAR' is hidden in the letters of 'ordinary'.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for dinar that I've seen before include "currency from abroad" , "foreign currency" , "Unit of currency in former Yugoslavia and other Middle East countries" , "Iraqi capital" , "Currency of several Arab states" .)

I've seen this clue in the Sydney Morning Herald.
