moist

'bit wet' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)

'oscar-winning film' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'oscar' could be 'o' (phonetic alphabet: alpha, bravo, charlie etc.) and 'o' is found within the answer.
'winning' could be 'ist' (1st) and 'ist' is present in the answer.
'film' could be 'm' (1931 Fritz Lang film) and 'm' is present in the answer.
This accounts for all the letters.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

'is a' acts as a link.

(Other definitions for moist that I've seen before include "bit wet" , "Slightly wet, damp" , "Dampish" , "Affected by tears, perhaps" , "sloppy" .)
