Outside, everyone no good looking on? (5)
I believe the answer is:
eying
'looking on?' is the definition.
'eying' can be an answer for 'looking' (eye can mean to look at something). I am not sure about the 'on?' bit.
I don't understand how the remainder of the clue works.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for eying that I've seen before include "In the process of close scrutiny" , "Looking at closely" , "Watching closely" , "Looking at with interest" , "Observing" .)
