Over-explicit at scenic area about feeling on top of the world? (8)
I believe the answer is:
ecstatic
'on top of the world?' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'over-explicit at scenic area about' is the wordplay.
'over' says the letters should be written in reverse.
'about' indicates the answer is hidden within the clue (the clue goes around or about the answer).
'citatsce' is hidden within 'explicit at scenic area'.
'citatsce' written backwards gives 'ECSTATIC'.
'feeling' is the link.
I am not very happy about this link. It may be part of another bit of the clue.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for ecstatic that I've seen before include "elated" , "On cloud nine" , "Showing great delight" , "Cites act, being deliriously happy" , "Blissfully happy" .)
