Pain accordingly doubled (2-3-2)
I believe the answer is:
so-and-so
'pain' is the definition.
(both can refer to a nuisance person)
'accordingly doubled' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'accordingly' could be 'so' ('so' can be a synonym of 'accordingly') and 'so' is found in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
(Other definitions for so-and-so that I've seen before include "Someone or other - unpleasant person!" , "Unnamed person" , "Disfavoured person" , "Disliked person" , "Person unspecified or abjured" .)
