Pakistan's greatest current asset (5)
I believe the answer is:
indus
'pakistan's' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I don't see how they can define each other.
'greatest current asset' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'current' could be 'in' ('in' can mean current or trendy) and 'in' is found in the answer.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for indus that I've seen before include "River of India/Pakistan" , "River flowing from Tibet to the Arabian Sea" , "Important river" , "Long river of Asia" , "Pakistani river" .)
