I believe the answer is:

'sanserif' can be an answer for 'type' (I've seen this before). I'm not sure about the 'particular' bit.

'disaster in fairness' is the wordplay.
'fairness' anagrams to 'SANSERIF'.
However, I'm not clear how the anagram is indicated.
