Partook of fine, rounded cheese (4)
I believe the answer is:
feta
'cheese' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'partook of fine rounded' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'fine' could be 'f' (abbreviation) and 'f' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'eta' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This may be the basis of clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for feta that I've seen before include "Crumbly Greek cheese" , "Goat's or sheep's milk cheese" , "Greek cheese from goat or sheep milk" , "Type of cheese" , "Greek salad cheese" .)
