Patriarch sees a female supporter with Noah's son (7)
I believe the answer is:
abraham
'patriarch' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'supporter with noah's son' is the wordplay.
'supporter' becomes 'bra' (I've seen this before).
'with' is a charade indicator (letters next to each other).
'noah' becomes 'a' (I can't justify this - if you can you should believe this answer much more).
'son' becomes 'ham' (I have seen 'Son of Noah ' mean 'ham' so perhaps 'son' could also mean 'ham').
'bra' put after 'a' is 'abra'.
'abra'+'ham'='ABRAHAM'
'sees a female' acts as a link.
This may not be correct. Some or all of it may be part of another bit of the clue.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for abraham that I've seen before include "First patriarch and ancestor of the Hebrews" , "relative of 18 [REBECCA]" , "- Lincoln, US president" , "Father of all the Jews (7)" , "OT Hebrew patriarch" .)
