Ross

I believe the answer is:

sheer

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'perfect' is the definition.
(synonyms)

'female editor striking content' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'female' could be 'she' ('she' refers to a woman) and 'she' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'er' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for sheer that I've seen before include "Downright - deviation" , "Very thin as in ladies' stockings" , "Very steep; utter" , "(Of fabric) very thin" , "Nothing other than" .)

I've seen this clue in The Daily Express.
