Photographed out of doors? (7)
I believe the answer is:
exposed
'photographed' is the definition.
The answer and definition can be both to do with communicating as well as being past participle verbs.
Maybe there's a link between them I don't understand?
'out of doors?' is the wordplay.
'out of' becomes 'ex' ('out of' in Latin).
'doors?' becomes 'posed' (I can't justify this - if you can you should believe this answer much more).
'ex'+'posed'='EXPOSED'
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for exposed that I've seen before include "in the nude" , "at mercy of weather" , "Showed up" , "Deprived of cover" , "Unmasked, revealed" .)
