Picnic, and what you might eat on it? (5,2,4)
I believe the answer is:
piece of cake
'picnic' is the definition.
(both can mean something very easy)
'what you might eat on it?' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'eat' could be 'piece' (piecing is a kind of eating) and 'piece' is found within the answer.
'it?' could be 'e' ('e' can mean 'electronic' which is similar to 'IT') and 'e' is found within the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'and' acts as a link.
(Other definitions for piece of cake that I've seen before include "slice?" , "Easy task" , "Part of Madeira perhaps" , "one can sail through?" , "It's easy (to eat)" .)
