Place to drink nothing in current circumstances (5)
I believe the answer is:
oasis
'place' is the definition.
(I have seen 'Place of refreshment ' mean 'oasis' so perhaps 'place' could also mean 'oasis')
'drink nothing in current circumstances' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'nothing' could be 'o' (looks like zero - 0) and 'o' is found within the answer.
'current' could be 'i' (symbol for electric current) and 'i' is present in the answer.
The remaining letters 'ass' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'to' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for oasis that I've seen before include "Famous group" , "British band" , "Florist's foam" , "Place of peace" , "Green area in desert" .)
