Ross

I believe the answer is:

school of thought

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'perspective' is the definition.
(I know that school of thought is a type of perspective)

'plato's academy perhaps providing a particular' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'academy' could be 'school' (I've seen this in another clue) and 'school' is located in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for school of thought that I've seen before include "Philosophical Academy?" , "Particular way of thinking" , "Approach" .)

I've seen this clue in The Times.
