Crossword Genius

Pound and Euro lines (7)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

rondeau

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'pound' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I can't see how one could define the other.

'and euro lines' is the wordplay.
'and euro' can be anagrammed to 'RONDEAU'.
Though, I am not clear how this is indicated.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for rondeau that I've seen before include "set of lines" , "Type of poem" , "Form of verse by Swinburne" , "Sort of poem" , "Style of poem" .)
