Precarious way to establish a momentary contact (5,3,2)
![Ross](/clue/static/ross-mug.min.png)
I believe the answer is:
touch and go
'precarious' is the definition.
(I know that precarious can be written as touch-and-go)
'way to establish a momentary contact' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'way' could be 'touch' (touch is a kind of way) and 'touch' is found within the answer.
'a' could be 'an' and 'an' is found in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for touch and go that I've seen before include "Uncertain up to the last minute" , "Risky advice" , "fleeting contact" , "Dicey" , "What swimmers do between laps" .)
