Public house order in Rush (6)
I believe the answer is:
lounge
'public house' is the definition.
The definition and answer can be both man-made objects as well as being singular nouns.
Perhaps there's a link between them I don't understand?
'order in rush' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'order' could be 'o' (abbreviation e.g. in British honours OM, OBE etc.) and 'o' is present in the answer.
The remaining letters 'lunge' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for lounge that I've seen before include "Living room" , "Idle man mixing with rich, fashionable people" , "Loll, sit about idly" , "Loll - sitting room" , "Sit or recline comfortably" .)
