Put right in print; did press at first? (6,3)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

ironed out

'put right' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)

'in print did press at first?' is the wordplay.
'in print' becomes 'out' (as in a book that is out).
'did press' becomes 'ironed' (ironing is a kind of pressing).
'at first?' says to put letters next to each other.
'out' put after 'ironed' is 'IRONED OUT'.

(Other definitions for ironed out that I've seen before include "put right" , "Settled" , "resolved" , "Cleared up" , "as something might be after the evening session?" .)

I've seen this clue in The Guardian.
