Recoil from disadvantage (8)
I believe the answer is:
drawback
'disadvantage' is the definition.
(drawback is a kind of disadvantage)
'recoil' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'recoil' could be 'back' (jump back) and 'back' is found within the answer.
The remaining letters 'draw' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'from' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for drawback that I've seen before include "Fly in the ointment" , "Hindrance - disadvantage" , "Limitation, disadvantage" , "Snag" , "Disadvantage, problem" .)
