Regular time to relax from the day job? (4)
I believe the answer is:
even
'regular' is the definition.
(I know that regular can be written as even)
'time to relax from the day job?' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'from' could be 'e' (I've seen this in other clues) and 'e' is present in the answer.
The remaining letters 'ven' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for even that I've seen before include "Smooth, level" , "of consistent quality" , "Yet; level" , "Flattened" , "Placid - not easily angered" .)
