Regularly abseil with QI host from church tower (6)
I believe the answer is:
belfry
'church tower' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'regularly abseil with qi' is the wordplay.
'regularly' means one should take alternating letters (regularly take one letter, leave next etc.).
'with' means one lot of letters go next to another.
'qi' becomes 'fry' (I can't explain this - if you can you should believe this answer much more).
The alternating letters of 'abseil' are 'bel'.
'bel'+'fry'='BELFRY'
'host from' acts as a link.
This may not be correct. Some or all of it may belong to another bit of the clue.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for belfry that I've seen before include "Place for ringers" , "Church tower space" , "Interior of a steeple (where bats hang out?)" , "Place for church bells" , "Ringing tower of church" .)
