Remnant, vestige (5)
I believe the answer is:
relic
I believe this clue is a double definition.
'remnant' is the first definition.
(I have seen 'Holy remnant' mean 'relic' so perhaps 'remnant' could also mean 'relic')
'vestige' is the second definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)
(Other definitions for relic that I've seen before include "Object of historical interest" , "Long-surviving object" , "Keepsake, of a saint say" , "Surviving ancient custom" , "Outdated survival" .)
