Remove section from glossy UK emblem (4)
I believe the answer is:
leek
'emblem' is the definition.
(I have seen 'Emblem of Wales' mean 'leek' so perhaps 'emblem' could also mean 'leek')
I cannot understand how the remainder of the clue works.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for leek that I've seen before include "Onion's relative" , "Plant related to the onion, pair with potato for soup" , "what Fluellen wore in France?" , "Vegetable of the onion family" , "Eat the vegetable and keel over" .)
