Crossword Genius

Repeatedly in a superior position? (4,3,4)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

over and over

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'repeatedly' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)

'superior position?' is the wordplay.
'superior' becomes 'over' (I've seen this in another clue).
'position?' becomes 'andover' (I am not sure about this - if you are sure you should give a lot more credence to this answer).
'over'+'andover'='OVER AND OVER'

'in a' is the link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Another definition for over and over that I've seen is " Repeatedly".)

I've seen this clue in The Irish News.
