Ross

I believe the answer is:

take-home pay

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'return' is the definition.
The definition and answer can be both related to property as well as being singular nouns.
Maybe you can see a link between them that I don't see?

'work at the end of the week?' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'work' could be 'take' (taking is a kind of working) and 'take' is present in the answer.
'of' could be 'o' and 'o' is present in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

'from' acts as a link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Another definition for take-home pay that I've seen is " Net wages".)

I've seen this clue in The Globe and Mail.
