Round number presented in row about shame (9)
I believe the answer is:
discredit
'shame' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'round number presented in row about' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'round' could be 'disc' (disc is a kind of round) and 'disc' is found within the answer.
'number' could be 'i' (I is an example) and 'i' is present in the answer.
'about' could be 're' ('re' means regarding or about) and 're' is found in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for discredit that I've seen before include "Cast doubt" , "Give the lie to" , "Damage reputation of, cause to be disbelieved" , "To tarnish" , "Rubbish" .)
