Rubbish unwise to give to a troop leader (5)
I believe the answer is:
trash
'rubbish' is the definition.
(I know that rubbish can be written as trash)
'unwise to give to a troop leader' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'unwise' could be 'rash' and 'rash' is found within the answer.
A single letter 't' remains which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for trash that I've seen before include "Junk" , "Garbage or nonsense" , "American refuse" , "Waste material (US)" , "bull" .)
