Said "Stop!" in a foreign language (7)
I believe the answer is:
finnish
'a foreign language' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'said stop in' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'in' is present in the answer.
This may be the basis of clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for finnish that I've seen before include "race" , "European language" , "foreign language" , "Nationality of citizens of Helsinki" , "Eg, native to Helsinki" .)
