Says ill-tempered things to passionate photo (8)
I believe the answer is:
snapshot
'photo' is the definition.
(I know that snapshot is a type of photo)
'says ill-tempered things to passionate' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'passionate' could be 'hot' (associated in meaning) and 'hot' is found within the answer.
The remaining letters 'snaps' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for snapshot that I've seen before include "Quick photo" , "Informal photo" , "still taken quickly" , "pic" , "Instant record of an event" .)
