Scene of operations where dramatic events take place (7)
I believe the answer is:
theatre
'scene of operations' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'dramatic events take place' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'take' could be 'eat' (eating is a kind of taking) and 'eat' is found in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'where' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for theatre that I've seen before include "where people go to watch" , "Auditorium" , "Space for dramatid art" , "Criterion in London, say" , "(Lecture) room" .)
