Ross

I believe the answer is:

fork-lift truck

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'heavy carrier' is the definition.
(vehicle for carrying heavy goods)

'separate up by tesco's entrance scrap' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'separate' could be 'fork' (synonyms) and 'fork' is located in the answer.
'up' could be 'lift' (up can mean to lift or raise) and 'lift' is found within the answer.
'scrap' could be 'ruck' (both can mean a fight) and 'ruck' is located in the answer.
A single letter 't' remains which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for fork-lift truck that I've seen before include "Pallet picker-upper" , "Two-pronged wooden pallet raiser" , "Warehouse vehicle" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
