Sets out with currency that’s been converted? (8)
I believe the answer is:
expounds
'sets out' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'currency that's been converted?' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'currency' could be 'pound' (I have seen 'Egyptian currency ' mean 'pound' so perhaps 'currency' could also mean 'pound') and 'pound' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'exs' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This may be the basis of clue (or it may be nonsense).
'with' is the link.
(Other definitions for expounds that I've seen before include "Sets forth or explains in detail" , "Interprets" .)
