Shrug’s new; robbed (6)
I believe the answer is:
stolen
'robbed' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'shrug's new' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'new' could be 'n' (common abbreviation eg NT for New Testament) and 'n' is present in the answer.
The remaining letters 'stole' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for stolen that I've seen before include "Snatched" , "Robbed" , "Taken by thieves" , "Taken without right" , "Nicked" .)
