Sight exam's soft for Charlie (7)
I believe the answer is:
glimpse
'sight' is the definition.
(I have seen 'Brief sight ' mean 'glimpse' so perhaps 'sight' could also mean 'glimpse')
'exam's soft for charlie' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'soft' could be 'limp' (I've seen this in other clues) and 'limp' is present in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for glimpse that I've seen before include "A quick look" , "Momentary view (of something)" , "Just a fleeting sighting" , "Quick view" , "Notice" .)
