Silly, putting coordinate behind bend (5)
I believe the answer is:
loopy
'silly' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'coordinate behind bend' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'coordinate' could be 'y' (as in X and Y coordinates on a grid) and 'y' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'loop' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
'putting' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for loopy that I've seen before include "Dotty; like a lasso" , "Round the bend" , "Silly" , "Mad" , "twisted?" .)
