I believe the answer is:

apse

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'domed recess' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)

'small monkey's grabbed' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'small' could be 's' (abbreviation - e.g. clothes size) and 's' is present in the answer.
'monkey' could be 'ape' (I've seen this before) and 'ape' is present in the leftover letters.
This accounts for all the letters.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

'in' is the link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for apse that I've seen before include "Strange peas in the church recess" , "Domed section of a church" , "part of cathedral" , "Peas (anag) - found in church" , "Part of a church with the altar" .)

I've seen this clue in The Independent.
